Children's Ministry
Is Children's Ministry available during service times?
Yes!
Children's Ministry is available second service. Please take advantage of this opportunity for your children to receive instruction at their own levels. If you decide to keep your child with you, we ask that you please sit near the back of the sanctuary to minimize distractions to others. Should your child become disruptive in the sanctuary, please take your child to the lobby. The Lobby has a TV that live streams the service.

Is there a private area for mothers to nurse their babies?
We provide a private nursing mother's room in the church where you will be able to watch the service on a monitor. The nursing mother’s room is the Children’s ministry wing with the Infants.
What are your guidelines for colds and other minor illnesses?
We want to protect our children and volunteers from illnesses. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from bringing your children to church if they have had the following symptoms:
1. Unusual fatigue or irritability
2. Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or watery eyes
3. Fever
4. Vomiting or diarrhea
5. Inflamed mouth or throat
6. Unusual rash
7. Lice
If your child develops any of these symptoms during the service you will be called immediately and asked to remove your child from the class. We do not administer any medication. Please understand this is for the health and safety of all the children. Thank you for your understanding and prayer on this matter.

What do I need to do if my child has food allergies or special health concerns?
When signing your child into the classroom, there is a space provided for special instructions regarding your child. If you feel the information is too private to write on the sign-in sheet or should be discussed with a teacher face-to-face, please request to speak to the teacher away from the children.
If you decide to regularly attend Calvary Chapel Harrisburg - West Shore, please contact Aaron and Bird Wilson in the children’s ministry office regarding the allergy or health concern. We will want to make sure your concern is properly addressed in the years to come.

What if my child is potty training?
If your child is in underwear and is potty training, we ask that you inform the teacher of your child’s progress, take him/her to the restroom just before class and bring an extra change of clothes. In the toddler room, if there is an accident, the teacher, only with your permission, will change your child with clothes you have provided.
When do I take my child to class and when do I pick him/her up?
Infant and Toddler classes are opened 20 minutes before each service. 5 to 12 years old are encouraged to sit in the sanctuary during worship, then dismissed to their classes after announcements. In the event that a teacher or assistant is not immediately available, please do not leave your children in an empty classroom. Children left unsupervised is never a safe practice in the world we live in today - even in a church. In light of this, we require that all children be signed in and out on the class roster. Children must be picked up within 15 minutes after the service. If you are in need of prayer or counseling after the service, please notify your child’s teacher that you may be delayed.
General
Is Calvary Chapel a denomination?
Calvary Chapel was formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their overemphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.
