Whenever it is necessary to close school such as inclement weather, the following system will be used:

All parents will a receive a phone message via parent’s primary contact information.  We will also broadcast our closing information on:

1. Calvary’s Website, www.ccharrisburg.org/academy
2. Facebook, Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, @CCChristianAcademy
3. News Channel WGAL Channel 8 (Watch for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy in Cumberland County) or at https://www.wgal.com/weather/closings
4. CCCA Elementary Answering Machine, 717.461.9050

Midday School Closings If in the case we have an emergency during the day and must close school, it is imperative that we be able to reach you.

1. You need to inform us of all current phone numbers, including cell phones, work numbers, and home numbers.
2. You need to inform us of any changes in the phone numbers listed above.
3. You need to be sure that all emergency contacts are current in the event that we cannot reach you.

Your cooperation in helping us to see that your child gets home safely during any emergency, is an absolute necessity. We fully realize that you have jobs and that you may find yourself in a situation that you cannot leave. That is why we want to encourage you to plan now. If there is not an emergency, we will not close. If there is an emergency, the children need to be evacuated as quickly as possible.
